CA170/Fumed Silica Based Silicone Masterbatch

Product description
CA170 is a pelletized silicone gum formulation with an outstanding high loading of ultrahigh molecular weight (uhmw) siloxane polymer. It does not contain any thermoplastic resin as a carrier but some quantity of fumed silica instead. Fumed silica as a constituent of the pelletized formulation does not show any adverse effect in the application and provides general compatibility with thermoplastic resins when used as an additive in thermoplastic systems to impart benefits such as processing improvements and modification of surface characteristics.

Special Features
Improved processing and flow of the resin including less extruder torque, less extruder die pressure, faster throughput, reduction of melt viscosity and better mould filling when the dosage is 0.1~1%. If with higher addition levels of  1% to 5%, it can also helps to improve surface properties including release, lubricity, slip, improved surface gloss, lower coefficient of friction, and greater mar and abrasion resistance.
CA170 can also improve burning characteristics of thermoplastic resins, especially when applied in combination with halogenfreeflame retardant fillers.

Processing
Suitable equipment for processing comprises twin-screw extruder, kneader, or batch-mixer. CA170 can be blended with resin polymer pellets to give the desired siloxane level in the final product.


Limitations
This product is neither tested nor represented as suitable for food contact, medical and pharmaceutical uses.

Package and Storage
15Kg/Box. Minimum Order Quantity: 405Kg.
Shelf life is 24 months. Storage beyond the date specified on the label does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable. In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons.
