Standard Specification for Aluminum Bronze Sheet, Strip, and Rolled Bar
This specification establishes the requirements for UNS C61300 and C61400 copper aluminum bronze alloy sheets, strips, and rolled bars. These products are intended for drawing, forming, stamping, and bending applications but not for electrical applications. Each product is hot or cold rolled to finish gage and then annealed, if required, to meet the required temper properties. This specification also contains information on the required tensile strength, yield strength at extension under load, and elongation for different temper designations and product dimensions.

1. C65100, also known as Low-Silicon Bronze, is a copper alloy primarily composed of copper (Cu) and silicon (Si). With a silicon content of approximately 2%, it offers excellent resistance to corrosion and high temperatures. This material exhibits good electrical conductivity, moderate strength, and exceptional formability. C65100 is commonly used in applications requiring electrical connectors, terminals, and switchgear components due to its favorable combination of electrical and thermal properties.

1. C65400, known as Silicon Bronze, is a copper alloy consisting of copper (Cu), silicon (Si), and small amounts of zinc (Zn). It possesses excellent corrosion resistance, specifically in marine environments. With good weldability and moderate strength, C65400 is suitable for applications such as decorative hardware, marine hardware, and architectural elements. This material is also valued for its aesthetic appeal, making it a popular choice for artistic and ornamental applications.

1. C65500, also called High-Silicon Bronze, is a copper alloy primarily composed of copper (Cu) and silicon (Si) with a higher silicon content than C65100. This alloy exhibits superior resistance to corrosion, particularly in harsh environments containing seawater or chemical solutions. C65500 possesses high strength, excellent hot workability, and good casting properties.
