DovaFR P4-red is an allotrope of element. It is nontoxic, odorless and active chemically, though not highly. It is dark red, and unlike white phosphorus, is not phosphorescent. It has a variety of applications in industry, such as matches, fireworks and especially in Flame retardant.

DovaFR P4-red is as an ideal halogen-free Flame retardant in thermoplastic (e.g. polyamide) and thermosets (e.g. epoxy resins or polyurethanes) base on its high content of P. This makes it possible to minimize the degradation of the physical properties of the resin.
