Product Description
Product name | High Quality And High Concentration masterbatch |
Color | all |
Carrier | PP/ PE/ PET/ PVC/ PS/ NY, etc. |
These three varieties including injection molding, blowing, extrusion and fibers, can be divided into different grades: common and high-quality. The most common method used by molders, masterbatches consist of concentrated pigments dispersed into a polymer carrier resin - so called color masterbatch. During molding the masterbatch is let down into natural resin as it is feed into the press at a predefined ratio to achieve the desired color. Color masterbatch are the most economical method to color masterbatch plastics and can be provided in small volumes. Depending on the carrier selected, the same color masterbatch may be used to color several different resins, or be chosen for maximum compatibility and processing ease.

2. How masterbatch is made?
To put it simply, manufacturing involves gathering ingredients and then combining them with heat and shear to create a homogenized pellet. A pre-mix of the additives is often created using high- or low-speed mixers, and it is subsequently compounded using roller mills, kneaders, and single- or twin-screw extruders. The additives must be developed and distributed evenly throughout the carrier in order for the carrier to function properly. This processing depends on a number of important factors, including formulation, raw material quality, mixing facility quality, and compounding plant quality. The masterbatch is then pelletized (die-face, strand cut, or round), which completes the process.
3. Does the masterbatches influence the property of products?
Some pigments have effect on flame resistance. If used for flame resistace, products should be mentioned as first the detailed applications. Also some additive masterbatch cannot add together in same layers of films since they have adverse effect while using in combination. So in all cases, it is better to consult our technical department for details.
4. Does the masterbatch need to be dried before use?
In general, it can be used directly except for styrenic and polycondensation polymers like PET, PC and some special masterbatch mentioned, which should be dried according to common method and processing condition mentioned in TDS.
